What is raiseRED?

RaiseRED is the University of Louisville’s largest student-run philanthropic organization, and its efforts benefit the Norton Children's Cancer Institute and the UofL School of Medicine.

We have raised over $5 million for research and patient needs over the past eleven years. In addition to financial support, raiseRED volunteers with our Cardinal Crew program, inviting patients and families to partner up with a college student for fun events, parties, and mentorship.

We host dozens of other events and fundraisers throughout the year, including partnerships with UofL Athletics, other non-profits, local businesses, local high schools, and more.

Every February, raiseRED hosts a nationally recognized 18-hour dance marathon that celebrates the children & families we support.

With hundreds of students involved each year, we aim to be a dynamic, inclusive, and impactful entity in our city. We welcome you to join in our efforts by donating, attending our events leading up to the marathon, volunteering or registering to participate.
