RaiseRED is honored to work with numerous schools in Kentucky and Southern Indiana to help facilitate their Youth Philanthropy programs. Similar to raiseRED, students raise money for the Norton Children’s Cancer Institute and University of Louisville School of Medicine’s Department of Pediatrics’ Division of Hematology and Oncology through student-led initiatives and celebratory events.

Why Get Involved in Youth Philanthropy?

Getting involved with youth philanthropy is a meaningful way to empower students to create positive change in their community while developing a lifelong understanding of giving back.

Whether your school hosts a Mini Marathon, bake sale, walkathon, car wash, or finds another creative way to make an impact, every effort can make a difference.

Participating also provides opportunities for students to connect with the University of Louisville and build relationships with college students as they explore their own paths toward higher education and creating meaningful impact in their community.

How Can My School Raise Money?

The raiseRED Executive Board will assist with brainstorming and coordinating different fundraisers.

Some ideas that have been successful in the past include penny wars, pie your teacher, car washes, athletic events, bake sales, and selling candy grams.

Fundraising ideas can be created by the students to best accommodate the unique atmosphere of your school and community.

raiseRED can cater to your school's needs; many programs put on a variety of fundraisers throughout the year, but any idea has the potential for success.

If a mini marathon does not work for your school, we would love to work with you to help you host a different fundraising event!
